Routine Update - Set 1

We'll start with the news on the
announcement of the deadline for the 59th ARD International Music
Competition - April 30, 2010.
Two competitions have been announced in the USA. Downey Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual Young Artist Competition on December 4, 2010; and the Baltimore Music Club has planned its annual competition for February 28 and March 7, 2010.
3rd Beijing International Music Competition for Cello has been moved from July to October 2010. The deadline has been changed as well and is now July 15, 2010.
The dates for the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition have been finalized. The competition will take place on April 9 - 17, 2011 with the deadline on November 1, 2010.
The deadline for the IBLA Grand Prize, as well as for the Curb Records Young Musicians Concerto Competition, has been updated and is now December 15, 2009 and January 22, 2010 respectively.

The 37th International Musical Competition "Dr.
Luis Sigall" has just been announced. The prestigious violin
competition will take place in Chile in November 6 - 13, 2010.
The 16th International Competition of Guitar Music Performance and 16th International Competition for Young Guitarists will bow in July, 2010 in Città di Mottola, Italy.
In London, the finals of the Parkhouse Award International Chamber Music Competition have been announced. They will be held in Wigmore Hall on April 2, 2011.
As always, we continue to add new competitions to our site, as follows: The Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition is open for musicians up to 18 years old, who play any orchestral instrument. The competition date is January 24, 2010, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The dates for the 9th Nordic Piano Competition have been updated as well as the deadline. Application forms must be sent before May 1, 2010.
Two recently announced competitions have the same deadline - April 1, 2010. The 12th Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competition will take place in Rochester NY on July 31 - August 7 next year. The other one is the Palma Ramon Llull Rotary Club"s Piano Competition held in Palma de Mallorca on May 13 - 15, 2010.
The 5th edition of the "Mozart" International Piano Competition will take place in Rome and Frascati, Italy from May 7 until 9 2010. The last competition in our Routine Update series is the 7th International Piano Competition Francis Poulenc, which will take place in France on November 22 - 27, 2010.

New Competitions around the World - Europe

We're on a whirlwind tour of Europe and the US this week, announcing competitions in several major cities around the world. First stop, London, where the ROSL Music Competition has been announced, with auditions taking place from January until March, and the final concert on June 2.
In Italy, the 12th International Music Competition and the 4th International Piano Competition "Euterpe" was announced; "Euterpe" competitions will take place in Italy from May 27 until June 6, with the piano competition starting on June 2, 2010.
We move on to Russia, where the 2nd International Harp Competition "Golden Harp" glides its way into Saint Petersburg in September 2011. And in Tel Aviv, the 13th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition has been announced for May 10 - 26, 2011.

Our next stop is the United States, where several competitions were announced. On the East Coast, the 15th Chautauqua Piano Competition will perform its glissando at the Chautauqua Festival in New York from July 26 until August 12.
In Illinois, the 34th Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra (KVSO) Piano Concerto Competition was announced; the next annual competition will take place on March 6 with the winners concert is on April 17, 2010.
Last, in nearby Evanston, Illinois, the venerable Society of American Musicians has announced its 85th annual competition, which will take place from February through April, with the winners' concert in June 2010.
