Although the Bakitone Team does its very best to catch and correct each and every typo, there are definitely some errors still on our site! For example, we have had regular "dificulties" (sometimes as many as four on almost every page!) spelling "difficulty" correctly, but we hope we have caught all the instances of that one now.
Here are some of our other "favorites", in a sort-of pre-holiday countdown:
6. ""and help them in development of their carriers." Hmmm, apparently, instead of helping with your career, we will carry your luggage for you?
5. "All right reserved" - apparently, we only have one "right" (but it's a good one)
4. "Bellow" instead of "below". Perhaps if we "bellow" you can hear us "below"?
3. Miskellaneous - It's "miscellaneous"... with whiskers!
2. Trubet - ummm, we think we meant "Trumpet".
And... a drum roll, please! The top mistake on our web site is...
1. Privacy Police - Of course, we meant "Privacy Policy." There are no privacy police, at least, not on the Bakitone site!

We'll start with the news on the
announcement of the deadline for the 59th ARD International Music
Competition - April 30, 2010.
Two competitions have been announced in the USA. Downey Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual Young Artist Competition on December 4, 2010; and the Baltimore Music Club has planned its annual competition for February 28 and March 7, 2010.
3rd Beijing International Music Competition for Cello has been moved from July to October 2010. The deadline has been changed as well and is now July 15, 2010.
The dates for the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition have been finalized. The competition will take place on April 9 - 17, 2011 with the deadline on November 1, 2010.
The deadline for the IBLA Grand Prize, as well as for the Curb Records Young Musicians Concerto Competition, has been updated and is now December 15, 2009 and January 22, 2010 respectively.

The 37th International Musical Competition "Dr.
Luis Sigall" has just been announced. The prestigious violin
competition will take place in Chile in November 6 - 13, 2010.
The 16th International Competition of Guitar Music Performance and 16th International Competition for Young Guitarists will bow in July, 2010 in Città di Mottola, Italy.
In London, the finals of the Parkhouse Award International Chamber Music Competition have been announced. They will be held in Wigmore Hall on April 2, 2011.
As always, we continue to add new competitions to our site, as follows: The Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition is open for musicians up to 18 years old, who play any orchestral instrument. The competition date is January 24, 2010, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The dates for the 9th Nordic Piano Competition have been updated as well as the deadline. Application forms must be sent before May 1, 2010.
Two recently announced competitions have the same deadline - April 1, 2010. The 12th Eastman Young Artists International Piano Competition will take place in Rochester NY on July 31 - August 7 next year. The other one is the Palma Ramon Llull Rotary Club"s Piano Competition held in Palma de Mallorca on May 13 - 15, 2010.
The 5th edition of the "Mozart" International Piano Competition will take place in Rome and Frascati, Italy from May 7 until 9 2010. The last competition in our Routine Update series is the 7th International Piano Competition Francis Poulenc, which will take place in France on November 22 - 27, 2010.
